Sample Preparation of Solid Samples for Metal Determination by Atomic Spectroscopy—An Overview and Selected Recent Applications

Abstract Classical methods involving dry dissolution, wet decomposition, and microwave methods for digestion/dissolution of solid samples for metal determination by various atomic spectroscopic techniques are discussed. Recent applications of solid sample preparation are presented including soils, sediments, food, cosmetics, oils, and coal.
