TELECOMMUNICATIONS AND BUSINESS TRAVEL: THE REVOLUTION HAS BEGUN

This workshop presentation discusses the impact of telecommunications on the airline industry. It is estimated that the impact of desktop videoconferencing substitution for air travel will be substantial. The underlying factors bringing about this change are examined and its implications for the airline and aircraft industries, as well as suppliers to these industries, are discussed.
