Guaranteed-cost design of continuous-time Takagi-Sugeno fuzzy controllers via linear matrix inequalities

In this paper, we extend some recent results regarding the synthesis of Takagi-Sugeno (T-S) fuzzy controllers via linear matrix inequalities using a guaranteed-cost approach. This method not only guarantees stability, but also minimizes an upper bound on a linear quadratic performance measure. A numerical example is presented to show the effectiveness of this method.
