Cell coverage analysis of existing network and advanced testbed network

This paper focuses on the cell coverage analysis of the existing network and the advanced testbed network, which is established by China Mobile Communication Corporation (CMCC) for simulation and testing. Since the cell coverage in testbed network is different from that in actual network, it is necessary to take some efforts to maintain the cell coverage performance at the same level. First, we study the cell coverage radius and the coverage probability of a actual network through the link budget in downlink broadcast channel. Then we analyze the coverage property of testbed network by adjusting the transmit power, antenna height, and antenna downtilt. Besides, some simulation results are presented and discussed. Finally we draw the conclusion that the coverage probability between the actual network and the testbed network under different scaling ratio could be kept at the same level by appropriately choosing the transmit power, antenna height and antenna downtilt.
