Optimization of Specialized Intelligent Force Sensor Parameters for Railway Transport

The purpose of this article is to study a specialized for railway transport smart force sensor intended: to establish the influence of the difference in sensitivity of the built-up tensometers (strain gauges) on the results (the value of the force applied and the force application point); to expand the sensitive range on the sensor, where the applied force can be measured with the necessary accuracy. The sensor has been modelled and the corresponding analytic dependencies have been obtained. To determine the zone of validity of the model used, a number of experimental examinations have been carried out. A suitable approximation has been introduced thus expanding the range of measuring. The sensor is examined together with its electronic measuring part and its metrological indices are determined.
