Nonlinear Partial Difference Equations. IV. Bäcklund Transformation for the Discrete-Time Toda Equation

A Backlund transformation in the bilinear form is presented for the discrete-time Toda equation. The Backlund transformation generates a class of nonlinear partial difference equations that exhibits solitons.
