A note on unsolvable systems of max–min (fuzzy) equations

Abstract For unsolvable systems of linear equations of the form A⊗ x = b over the max–min (fuzzy) algebra R =(〈0,1〉,⊕= max ,⊗= min ), we propose an efficient method for finding a Chebychev-best approximation of the matrix A∈ R (m,n) in the set S ( b )={D∈ R (m,n);D⊗ x = b is solvable } .
