Research on the discrete element method simulation of transfer station

In order to study the principles of materials flow acting on the chute in the transfer station,the course of transshipment of materials in the transfer station is simulated by using the discrete element method.The operation of contact force of elements adopt the non-linear Hertz Mindlin contact model,and the particle model adopt the basic ball element compound mode.The three dimensions discrete element model of the transfer station is established.Aiming at a structure ofthe chute,all the forces of the chute suffered are tested,including the chute's average pressure of different flow rates and different belt friction factors and the chute's maximum pressure of different friction speeds.The macroscopic rule of material flow and the influence of variousfactors on the pressures of chute are well displayed through simulation.The analysis conclusion can provide a reference for the optimization design of the transfer station.
