Some Thoughts on Ensuring Secure Operation of Shanghai Power Grid

It becomes the focus for electric utilities and the whole society to ensure the secure operation of urban power networks for central megalopolises and prevent large scale blackout. According to the blackouts occurred around the world in recent years, firstly as a typical case the blackout occurred in Moscow is analyzed in detail; secondly, Shanghai power grid and its present security circumstance are introduced; thirdly, on the basis of analyzing the security weak link of Shanghai power grid, the focal point of the work to ensure its secure operation is expounded in a brand new viewpoint; finally, some measures and suggestions, which possess practical significance and should be adopted to enhance the security of Shanghai power grid in the next stage, are proposed.
