Network's design allows seamless integration into existing microcomputer lab

When the Consultants Bureau of Tulane Computing Services (TCS), Tulane University’s central computing facility, planned to add high-quality laser printer support to an existing microcomputer lab, it was clear that a network provided the best solution. A network would allow the MS-DOS microcomputers to share an expensive printing resource. Careful consideration was paid to the design of the network’s user interface. Goals for the design were to have the network integrate smoothly into the existing microcomputer lab and to make the network easy to use.
