A photovoltaic-thermal(PVT) collector is a combination of photovoltaic(PV) modules with a solar thermal collecting device, forming one device that produces electricity and heat at the same time. The PVT systems can enhance the energy performance of PV by cooling effect. The possibility of the utilization of heat from PVT makes them usable for the building. The water-type PVT collector has a surface area of 17.5 ㎡ in combination with a 500 l storage tank and 3kWp grid-connected inverter. The aim of the study is analyze the thermal performance and the generation of the PVT system through experimental monitoring The experimental results indicated that PVT system inlet and outlet temperature and storage tank temperature ware increased with the increase of solar radiation. On the other hand, thermal efficiency of the PVT system was decreased according to solar radiation increase and PVT system generated 14.8 kWh in a typical spring day.
