The invention discloses a volume-variable multi-cavity air spring auxiliary chamber in a vehicle air suspension system and a working method thereof. A plurality of sealed cavities are separated along an axial direction of an inner cavity of a cylinder; the volumes of the plurality of sealed cavities are doubled from small to large in turn; a plurality of small holes of which the centers form a line corresponding to the plurality of cavities are formed on an outer wall of the cylinder and are respectively communicated with corresponding cavities; an identical pipeline is fixedly connected at each small hole respectively; the other end of the pipeline is communicated with a main and auxiliary chamber communicating pipe; a solenoid valve connected with a driving circuit is respectively arranged on each pipeline; the driving circuit controls the opening or closing of each solenoid valve; an air spring main chamber is/is not communicated with each corresponding cavity in the cylinder respectively; and due to the number of the opened solenoid valves, the cylinder correspondingly has different volumes so as to realize variable volume of the auxiliary chamber and stepless adjustment of the rigidity of the air spring.
