Safety system capable of verifying accuracy and reproducibility for radiation therapy equipment

Disclosed is a safety system of a radiation therapy apparatus capable of verifying accuracy and reproducibility. The safety system of the radiation treatment apparatus capable of verifying accuracy and reproducibility according to the present invention is used in three dimensional conformal radiation therapy, radiosurgery or stereotactic radiosurgery and provided with a driving unit moving around a physical body of a patient and a radiation generator installed in the driving unit. The safety system comprises: a laser distance detection sensor installed on an external side of the driving unit facing the patient and detecting a distance to the patient in real time to generate information on a therapy distance; and a control unit comparing the information on the therapy distance received from the laser distance detection sensor with each other or comparing the information on the therapy distance received from the laser distance detection sensor with information on a preset distance to generate a difference value and controlling operation of the radiation generator according to the difference value in real time. The present invention measures and analyzes the distance in real time through the laser distance detection sensor even when the patient unexpectedly moves during radiation therapy to safely control the radiation therapy apparatus, is capable of verifying the accuracy of the radiation therapy in the case that difference between planned therapy and real therapy occurs and is capable of verifying the reproducibility when the radiation therapy is repeated.
