Panel driving method and apparatus with address-sustain mixed interval

PURPOSE: A method for driving a panel to be operated by the complex process of an address period and a sustain period and an apparatus for the same are provided to improve the luminance of the screen. CONSTITUTION: A method for driving a panel to be operated by the complex process of an address period and a sustain period is characterized in that a complex period(T1), a common period(T2) and a correction period(T3). The complex period(T1) performs an address period and a sustain period for the pixels of each group subsequently and performs the sustain period for the pixels of the other group previously performed the address period during the sustain period for the pixels of the specific one group. The common period(T2) commonly performs the sustain period during a predetermined period for the pixels belonging all groups. And, the correction period(T3) selectively performs an additional sustain period for pixels of each group so as to satisfy the predetermined degree of gray level to the pixels of each group.
