Prometheus - A Cooperative Effort of the European Automotive Manufacturers

This paper gives an overview of the Prometheus program and its role in creating the DRIVE (Dedicated Road Infrastructure for Vehicle Safety in Europe) and PROMOTE (Program for Mobility and Transport in Europe) programs. Cooperation, collaboration, and consensus are seen as key elements in making Transport Telematics a reality.
