Biogeography of Matsucoccus josephi Bodenheimer et Harpaz in Crete and mainland Greece

Des visites ont ete conduites en Grece continentale et dans les iles de Thasos et Crete, dans des peuplements autochtones et artificiels de pin brutia (Pinus brutia Ten subsp brutia) et pin d'Alep (P halepensis Mill) pour verifier la presence eventuelle du Matsucoccus josephi Bodenheimer et Harpaz (Homoptera: Matsucoccidae) et de ses especes associees typiques. Il en resulte qu'en Grece continentale, entre les meridiens de 21°-24° E, M josephi n'est present ni sur le pin brutia ni sur le pin d'Alep. L'absence de Matsucoccus sur le pin brutia en Chalcidique et a Thasos suggere la possibilite de l'introduction du pin par l'homme (.)
