Macro-Structure and English Listening Teaching

First this paper introduces van Dijk's theory of macro-structure.Then it studies the feasibility and practicability about how to analyze a passage with the help of macro rules(Deletion Rule、Generalization Rule and Construction Rule),trying to provide a new perspective about English listening teaching for the language teaching teachers to discuss.It aims to enhance students' English listening ability.
