Colorimetric determination of vitamin A with trichloroaceiic acid.

Abstract Vitamin A was determined in pure samples and animal tissues using trichloroacetic acid as the chromogenic agent. Results were similar to those obtained with SbCl 3 , but the TCA reagent is generally more convenient to use and is less toxic.
