Otizm ve özgül öğrenme güçlüğü tanısı almış çocukların sağlıklı kardeşlerinin psikolojik uyumu, kardeş ilişkileri ve algıladıkları anne kabul- reddi

Engelli kardese sahip bir cocugu, kardesinin tanisi ve bu taninin gerektirdigibakim, kardesine ebeveynleri tarafindan ayrilan fazla zaman ve caba, kardesinindavranislari ve ebeveynlerine iliskin algiladigi kabul-red onemli olcudeetkileyebilmektedir. Bu baglamda otizm ve ozgul ogrenme guclugu tanisi olankardese sahip cocuklarda psikolojik uyum, anneye iliskin algilanan kabul-red vekardeslerle olan iliskilerin incelenmesi ilgili alanyazina katki saglarken ayni zamanda bu degiskenlerin iliskisinin yonu ve gucu hakkinda bilgi verebilir. Bu arastirmanin temel amaci otizm ve ozgul ogrenme guclugu tanisi bulunan cocuklarin, herhangi birgelisimsel, psikiyatrik, norolojik bozuklugu bulunmayan saglikli kardeslerininpsikolojik uyumu, kardes iliskileri ve annelerine iliskin algiladiklari kabul–redduzeyinin incelenmesidir. Bu arastirma, mevcut durumu sorgulayan betimsel birarastirmadir. iliskisel tarama modeline dayanarak bu arastirma gerceklestirilmistir. Katilimcilarin tamami amacli ornekleme yontemiyle secilen, Ankara ve izmirillerinde yasayan, ya engelli bir kardese (otizm ya da ozgul ogrenme guclugu teshisiolan) ya da saglikli kardese sahip 9-17 yas arasi 138 katilimcidan olusmaktadir.Veriler, Cocuk/Ergen Ebeveyn Kabul-Red/ Kontrol Olcegi Anne Formu, Cocuk Kisilik Degerlendirme OlcegiveKardes iliskileri Anketi araciligiyla toplanmistir veverilerin cozumlemeleri SPSS 14.00 paket programi kullanilarak yapilmistir.Verilerin analizinde cok yonlu varyans analizi (MANOVA), Pearson korelasyonanalizi ve regresyon analizi kullanilmistir. Olceklerin uygulanmasi 40-45 dakika arasinda degismistir.Katilimcilarin cinsiyetlerine gore kizlarin annelerini daha reddedici olarakalgiladiklari, erkeklerin psikolojik uyumlarinda dusmanlik ve olumsuz oz yeterligianlamli bicimde daha yogun yasadiklari ve kardesleri ile iliskilerini de daha catismali103olarak niteledikleri bulunmustur. Katilimcilarin kardeslerinin tani durumuna goreanne kabulunde sicaklik, ihmal, kontrol boyutu anlamli bir sekilde farklilasmaktadir.Ayrica, katilimcilarin kardeslerinin tani durumuna gore kardes iliskilerindekisicakliklari, rekabet etmeleri, kendilerini konumlandirmalari ve catisma yasamadurumlari anlamli bir sekilde farklilasmaktadir.Bu calisma, klinik alanda engelli cocuklarin kardesleriyle ilgili yapilacakkardes calisma gruplarina yonelik, kardeslerin nelere ihtiyac duydugunu belirlemesibakimindan gelistirilecek programlar ve yerel veri saglamasi bakimindan katkisaglayabilecek bir calisma olarak dusunulebilir.AbstractFamily that has been characterized as the smallest and most essential unit ofthe society is a structure where the first learnings about the community life have beengained. The children who have siblings with disabilities can be affected by theirsiblings‟ diagnosis, care requires for the diagnosis, time and effort of parents that isspent for the disabled siblings. Also children can be affected by siblings‟ behaviors.In regard to this context, it has been investigated maternal acceptance and rejectionperception, sibling relationships, and psychological adjustment of children who havesiblings with learning difficulties and autism. By doing this research, it is aimed toboth contribute related literature and revealed the direction and strength ofcorrelations between mentioned variables.The main purpose of this study is to examine sibling relationships,psychological adjustment and perception of maternal acceptance and rejection ofhealthy children who have siblings with disabilities and children with nodevelopmental disabilities whose siblings have.This descriptive study examinesexisting situation and relied on relational screening model. The sample of the studywas consisted of children who are between the age 9-17, living in Ankara and izmirwere recruited to the study. All participants have either a sibling with disability(Autism or Learning Difficulties) or a healthy sibling. The data was collected by viaParental Acceptance Rejection Questionnaire/Control form, Personality AssessmentQuestionnaire for children, and Sibling Relationship Questionnaire. Participantsanswered the questionnaires approximately in 40-45 minutes. All analyses werecarried out using SPSS version 14.0. In the analyses, a two-way MANOVA, PearsonCorrelational Analysis and regression analyses were used.105It was found that girs reported perceiving more rejection from their mothersthan boys, boys reported more hostility and negative self competence than girls.Boys had more conflicted relationships with their siblings than girls.It has been found a significant difference between sibling diagnosis(autism/learning difficulties) and perceived warmth in maternal acceptance, neglectand control. Also, the diagnosis and sibling relationships questionnaire total scoreare significantly differ from each other. Finally, it has been revealed that according tothe diagnosis of siblings, perceived warmth between siblings, competence, havingconflicting situations significantly differ.This study can be useful for applied purposes as well as having a value interms of theoretical explanations. For clinical area, it can be instructive whenassessing needs of children with sister or brother with disabilities and/or developingsibling study groups. It also serves as a local data resource.
