On the Estimation of Relative Potency in Dilution (-Direct) Assays by Distribution-Free Methods

A non-parametric approach is considered for the estimation of relative potency in dilution assays of the 'direct' type; the estimate is contrasted with the ones already available in the literature. A more complicated situation, wherein the doses are subject to latent effects, has also been covered in this investigation, and suitable estimates of relative potency have been considered and their properties studied.
