Graphical Coordination of Plant Usage and Personnel

A graphical and manual methodology has been developed for improving, and in certain cases optimizing, the decision-making process through the ability to generate and analyze a wide spectrum of alternatives. The methodology applied to the classical problem of manpower and plant allocation in a single project, or in a multiproject environment, takes into account considerations such as availability of the potentials, renting and/or hiring facilities, contractual conditions such as starting and/or finishing dates and, of course, it is also open to take into account the marginal cost considerations between the alternatives such as the cost of plant and/or manpower waiting time. In this graphical method emphasis has been given to the relevance of the facilities provided for using imagination and individual expression when generating alternative solutions of the reality being analyzed.
