Analysis of the influence of slewing bearing mounting on their static load capacity

Abstract The main scientific goal of the article is to modernize the methods of designing the rotating mechanisms of working machines (excavators, cranes, backhoe loaders, loaders) and other devices (wind turbines, radars, radio telescopes, drilling machines, wastewater treatment plants) in which the construction of the rotate node uses slewing bearings. In this article, the research will focus on how to mount the bearing to the machine. The calculations will be carried out by numerical modelling of bearings and support structures of machines using the finite element method with the wide use of non-linear FEM techniques and taking into account the elastic-plastic state of deformation in the contact zone. In the research, the ADINA program will be used as the basic numerical calculation tool.
