Broadband adaptive array processing

The paper describes a new procedure for designing linear adaptive arrays with a controllable broadband capability. The new prodecure allows acceptable array performance to be achieved without the need for broadband presteering delays. The approach relies on the use of a special array weight vector constraint involving |w|. Convergent algorithms for solving the new broadband design procedure are devised and their performance studied. Finally, the convergence aspects of the algorithm for adaptive array systems are discussed.
