A Review on Web-based English Reading Teaching Researches in China

This paper reviewed the directions, researchers, objects and areas distributed in the published papers from 5 foreign language teaching journals and 5 educational technology journals during the years 2000-2012 on the web-based English reading teaching in China to reveal such problems as lagging knowledge and technology of researchers, imbalanced objects as well as outdated and repeated contents. It thus suggested that the further development of web-based English reading teaching will focus on the compound knowledge of researchers, wider objects and interdisciplinary contents.
