Deployment of the deep sea ROV VICTOR 6000 from board the German research icebreaker POLARSTERN in polar regions

Within the frame of a Franco-Germam co-operation between the German " Alfred Wegener Institut for Polar and Marine Research" (AWI) and the french "Institut Francais de Recherche pour l'Exploitation de la Mer" (IFREMER) the French Remotely Operated Vehicle (ROV) "VICTOR 6000" was successfully deployed from board R/V "POLARSTERN" during the polar expedition ARK XV/1 from 23.06 to 18.07.1999 to Fram Strait and the Greenland Sea.
