Study on optical system of high resolution space camera

The dimension and configuration of space camera is mainly determined by the optical system of the camera.for certain optical design specifications,it is necessary for realizing miniaturization, lightening and high reliability of camera to study several optical system constructions. This paper describes the high resolution visible space camera in sun synchronous orbit using TDI CCD push-bloom imaging method. In assuming the orbit height of 500 km,the ground pixel resolution of 0.5 m,six kinds of optical system configurations are analysed using the CODE V optical design software, the different F numbers and Fields of View(FOVs) are obtained, and useful optical design data are presented. The conclusions reported here suggest that the FOV should be determined by different widths of the ground covered, then the optical system configurations are chosen by need of FOV and small dimension.
