Symbolic hybrid analysis of nonlinear analog circuits

This paper presents a new version of the generalised hybrid method for nonlinear analog circuit analysis. The proposed variant allows reduction of the computing time and memory needed by this analysis performing the separation between the linear and the nonlinear part of the circuit. The efficiency comes from the possibility to evaluate those terms in the circuit equations that depend exclusively on the linear element parameters, only once, at the beginning of the iteration process. The generalized formulation of the hybrid equations developed in the paper allows extending this method to the nonlinear analog circuit analysis in dynamic behavior, when companion models for the dynamic elements are used.
