Broadcastiong transmitting and reproducing apparatus and method for providing the object audio

PURPOSE: A broadcasting transmitting apparatus and a method thereof are provided to supply an object-based audio service in a broadcasting system through audio identification information. CONSTITUTION: An audio encoding unit(120) encodes a multichannel audio signal. An audio identifying information generating unit(130) generates audio identifying information. The audio identifying information generating unit identifies whether the multi channel audio signal is an object-based audio signal for the audio identification information. A packetizing and multiplexing unit(140) packetizes the encoded audio signal.
