FPGA implementation of configurable matrix inversion based on Cholesky decomposition

In all of MIMO detection algorithms,MMSE is widely used because it is a tradeoff between hardware implementation complexity and detection performance.To get the weight matrix is the key in MMSE hardware implementation.In this article,a configurable matrix inversion scheme based on Cholesky decomposition is introduced which can be configured as a 4×4,3×3 or 2×2 positive definite Hermitian matrix inversion module.This scheme can be easily implemented on FPGA and save the multipliers resources in FPGA.
