A method for quantifying the higher order modes radiated by an arbitrarily shaped antenna

A method for quantifying the magnitude of higher order field modes radiated by an arbitrarily shaped antenna is presented. Numerically determined fields are equated with the general multipolar field expansion, allowing the relative magnitude of each higher order component to be determined. © 2000 John Wiley & Sons, Inc.
