A study on methods of describing the figure of reflectance curve

Because of the complex influence of atmosphere in radioactive transfer, the reflectance curves computed from remote sensing image can not match perfectly with those measured from the earth’s surface directly, which products many errors in object recognition. The figures of different objects’ reflectance curves are quite different. Based on comparison of reflectance curves’ figures, the kinds of different objects could be correctly distinguished. This paper introduces three methods describing the figure of reflectance curve, as well as analyses their merits and disadvantages. They are algorithm of derivative factor, algorithm of fixed curve comparing, and algorithm of shape parameters. Meanwhile, the discussion of using these three methods in multi-spectrum and hyperspectral fields is very helpful for the curve analysis in different spectral resolution.
