Research on Layout Planning of Electric Vehicle Charging Station

The potential of new energy vehicles has been acknowledged broadly which leads to the gradual development of electric vehicles and charging network. We built a statistical model which is based on the data from Tesla Supercharging Network in order to estimate the demand for charging capacity and charging station scale. Then in the consideration of rapid growth of electric vehicles in South Korea, a schematization is created to coordinate the positioning of charging stations, following the Three Principles suggested in W.Christaller’s Central Place Theory. Then to adapt the research to countries of different circumstances, some factors are quantified to get scores for 6 different countries in terms of the Three Principles respectively. We use bivariate analysis to examine the influential factors related to the positioning of charging station.
