The scientific investigation of crime

Investigators, both police and scientific, undoubtedly have a lot to thank Professor Stuart Kind for during his long career in the forensic field. To be brutal, however, only a minority of such folk are likely to be thanking him with any real enthusiasm for the production of his recent book, the cost of which is a mildly staggering £29.00 per copy. For an average-sized volume, printed in word processor format and type, and with only a moderate number of monochrome illustrations, many discriminating 'Docs' and 'Cops' might rightfully be expecting something a little more elaborate even in this era of exorbitant publishing prices.
