Optimal error control coding for iterative cancellation systems

Limits of performance of error control coding in iterative cancellation systems using direct cancelation, or MMSE cancelation, are explored. Focus is given to the error control codes. The properties of optimal codes for cancelation are illustrated, and the actual performance of several popular code families are discussed.
