Effect of Myocardial Bridge on Blood Flow of Coronary Artery

Objective To study the effect of the myocardial bridge on the blood flow of the coronary artery.(Methods)The authors made a myocardial bridging simulation device and built an experimental model to study the oppressed status of the mural coronary artery.Through simulating the effect of the myocardial bridge on the blood flow of the coronary artery from systole to diastole,and with the help of a CFD software,a simulation analysis of the expe-(riment) data was made. Results There was mainly high-speed laminar flow in the narrow position of the blood ve-(ssel.) The velocity of the high-speed laminar flow increased with the increment of the compression percentage.With the same heart rate and in the same range of blood pressure,the velocity of blood flow increased with the increment of the compression percentage. Conclusion The influence of myocardial bridge on the pressure and blood flow of the coronary artery has close ties to the degree and frequency of the pressure on the coronary artery.
