Ergodynamic Method of Identification of the Cognitive Strategy Used by the Human-Operator

Human operator cognitive strategies and their transformations are the core terms in the ergodynamics (5). Each strategy is described as a bell-shaped curve for efficiency criterion, Q, and U-shaped curve for the complexity, C (e.g. time spent for decision making, t). Optimal values of the factors are different for different cognitive strategies. Methods and models of discrimination and identification of the strategies are suggested and discussed. Practical implemetation of the methods at the Krasnoyarsk-Energo training center and control room design led to decreased number of the human operator errors and time spent for decision making in normal and emergency situations.
