This total represents about a 29 percent decrease in volume from the 1986 activity level. These figures and other summary data are presented in this Annual Report 1987: S1mmary of California Public Debt prepared by the California Debt Advisory Commission. This year's report provides information on tax-exempt as well as taxable public debt issues. The Commission's report is based on information provided by State, local and student loan corporation issuers under the provisions of Section 8855(g) of the California Government Code.
