On-load magnetization characteristic analysis of a novel partitioned stator hybrid magnet memory machine

The on-load magnetization characteristics of a novel partitioned stator switched flux hybrid magnet memory machine (PS-SF-HMMM) are comprehensively analyzed in this paper. Firstly, the on-load demagnetization behavior of the proposed machine is disclosed by the frozen permeability method. Then, a virtual linear hysteresis model (VLHM) for low coercive force (LCF) magnet is presented in order to identify the on-load demagnetization effects. Meanwhile, the open-circuit and on-load magnetization control performances will be evaluated and compared in the full paper. The design guideline for the coercivity and thickness of LCF PMs will be investigated in the full paper to effectively prevent on-load demagnetization. Finally, an optimized prototype is tested to verify the theoretical analyses.
