Modeling and management in the presence of uncertain inputs

Management objectives are often obtained by maintaining a dynamical system at some equilibrium state. It is assumed here that a management program to maintain the system at an equilibrium state has already been specified. However, in the presence of external inputs of an unknown nature, the specified management program is unable to maintain the system in the neighborhood of the equilibrium state. This paper deals with methods for modifying a specified management program so that the system will remain in the neighborhood of the desired equilibrium point in spite of uncertain input. An example is given to illustrate the method.
