Nonclassical-light generation in a photonic band-gap nonlinear planar waveguide

A nonlinear planar photonic band-gap waveguide with optical parametric process can be used as a source of squeezed light and light with sub-Poissonian photon-number statistics. Suitable conditions for nonclassical-light generation are specified.
