Experiments on 4/spl times/4 port optical path cross-connection with 8/spl times/2.5 Gbit/s transportation employing unequal channel spacing

This paper demonstrates 4/spl times/4 port cross connection and the transport of eight optical paths over 400 km of dispersion-shifted fiber with unequally spaced channel allocation. We show that the optical path cross-connect system can be adopted to unequally spaced channel allocation without any architectural modification.
