Simulation of Internal Flow Field of Non-submerged Water Jet Nozzle Based on FLUENT

In this paper,a simulation model of the internal flow fields of orifice,mixing chamber and the mixing tube,as well as the influence of convergence angle on the flow field based on the software of FLUENT are developed and verified.It shows that the waterjet velocity can be predicted well by the orifice internal flow field.It also can be seen that the air and water interface has a series of whirlpools in the mixing chamber.as well as the end of the cone is filled with low-speed water.The water speed is increased significantly when the cone angle is 45°.
