GENERATION AND SIMULATION OF MULTI-DIRECTIONAL TRANSIENT WATER WAVES IN A LONGITUDINAL TOWING TANK

Generation of freak waves in an experimental tank are occasionally necessary for the investigation of the responses of a floating structures. No successful research on the generation of freak waved utilizing multi-directional transient waters waves has been carried out. A one point concentrated freak wave was generated and it's criteria investigated, using a directional spectrum wave generator in a longitudinal towing tank.
