Energy Management Mode of the Photovoltaic Power Station with Energy Storage Based on the Photovoltaic Power Prediction

In view of the strong volatility and randomness of the photovoltaic (PV) power generation, energy management mode of the PV generation station with ESS based on PV power prediction is proposed. Firstly, the circuit model, with the PV power generation unit and the energy storage battery unit, is established inthe PV generation station with ESS(ES). Then, to meet the requirements of power smoothing and tracking planned output, the power control scheme of the energy storage system (ESS) is designed. Finally, in MATLAB/Simulink, the PV generation station with ESS is built in the simulation model. It is shown from the simulation results that the proposed energy management mode can effectively suppress the fluctuation of PV power generation or tracking planned output. The proposed energy management mode can be used to improve the grid-connected stability of photovoltaic power station with energy storage.
