User Scheduling and Power Allocation for the Downlink of MIMO Systems Based on Limited Feedback

In this paper, user scheduling and power allocation are invested for the downlink of MIMO systems with limited feedback, and the corresponding algorithms are proposed based on the idea of opportunistic multiple beamforming. The proposed user scheduling algorithm feeds the first and the second largest SINRs of each user and the indices of corresponding beams back to the base station only, while the proposed power allocation algorithm makes use of the partial channel state information adequately. Simulation results demonstrate the superiority of the proposed schemes.
