CHAPTER 9 – Conclusions

Publisher Summary This chapter describes factors that are important in influencing the formation and form of nuclear power hazard control policy and, through a model, presents a theoretical explanation of the way the policy-making system developed over the years. The purpose of the model is to provide an analytical tool to examine the way the various factors related to policy making interact and vary in significance with time. A systems analysis approach is adopted for the construction of the model, so to some extent, the model reflects the influence of earlier writers in this field. The chapter also illustrates the nuclear hazard control policy-making system and elements that make up the policy-making subset.
