A Calcualtion Method for Voltage Distribution in a Large AIR Core Power Reactor

This paper presents a calculation method for the voltage distribution of a multiple-package air core power reactor. The necessary equivalent circuit elements required for the calculation of the impulse and the steady state voltage response were developed. The results of the experimental investigation are in a good agreement with the calculated impulse voltage distribution. A more precise analysis of the steady state voltage distribution is presented, which has produced satisfactory results, judging from the correspondence between the calculated and the measured steady state voltage distribution.
