Implementation and Evaluation of a Novel Audio Watermarking Scheme

This paper presents a novel audio watermarking scheme to protect against unauthorized copy of digital audio content based on theory of spread spectrum and frequency-hopping spread spectrum. In order to improve the detection performance of the watermark, communication model is used to simulate and analyze the process of watermark embedding and detection. Attack characterization is used at the embedding terminal to enhance robustness of the watermarking system. Distortion calculation and SNR calculation are added at the embedding terminal to improve the reliability of watermark detection. Experimental results show that the watermarking scheme is robust against common signal processing attacks and the capacity of watermark is great, even the complexity and the security of the algorithm are acceptable
