Bin objective Shape Optimization of Arch Dams

Bin objective shape optimization of arch dams is discussed to minmize both dam volume and maximal tensile stress. After obtaining the non inferior solutions by unified objective method with linear weight, the optimal solution is selected according to fuzzy closeness degree. The influence of different formulas of membership and closeness degree is discussed, and a simple geometric method for optimal solution is pressented. An engineering example indicates the effectiveness of the present method and some shape features of bin objective optimized arch dam.
