MUSIKMEDICIN OG MUSIKTERAPI I MEDICIN Om musikterapi og musikmedicin i somatisk behandling, om patienters musikpræferencer i forbindelse med afspænding/stressreduktion og om ph.d.-projektet Guidet Afspænding og Musik, GAM

Artiklens ærinde er at præsentere og diskutere anvendelsen af musik som medicin og musik som terapi i relation til somatisk behandling på sygehuse. Der fokuseres på receptive metoder, hvor klient eller patient lytter til musik, i relation til de to forskellige områder. Artiklen indledes med et afsnit, der definerer ‘musikterapi i medicin’ og ‘musikmedicin’, og udvalgte undersøgelser og meta- analyser bruges til at illustrere den nuværende viden om effektiviteten af disse komplementære behandlingsmetoder. Den danske multicenter hospitalsorganisation Musica Humana og MusiCure projektet introduceres kort. Herefter belyses og diskuteres betydningen af patienters præference ifm. valg af musik til afspænding og angstreduktion. Det beskrives, hvad der karakteriserer musik, som formodes at virke hhv. stimulerende eller afspændende. Som eksempel på en musikterapeutisk metode, der kan implementeres komplementært i somatisk behandling, præsenteres GUIDET AFSPÆNDING OG MUSIK (GAM), en målrettet brug af musik i kombination med afspænding. Endelig omtales metoden MUSIKLYTNING MED EN TILSTEDEVÆRENDE som eksempel på en enkel, non-invasiv metode, som under vejledning fra en musikterapeut kan administreres af sundheds-/plejepersonale.
